How the score works
The score is computed from the real positions of 88,000+ places across Thailand, weighted by what property buyers actually care about. Each category measures the nearest place: full points within walking reach, fading with distance.

- How is the location score calculated?
- Out of 100 points across five things buyers actually weigh: getting around (35 — nearest station or terminal), shops and markets (20 — malls, supermarkets, convenience stores, fresh markets), schools (15), healthcare (15) and food (15). Each earns full points when the nearest place is within easy reach and fades to zero as it gets farther, based on 88,000+ places from OpenStreetMap.
- Is a low score a bad location?
- Not necessarily — it measures convenience, not value. Beachfront land and quiet hillside plots score low by design; the score tells you what daily life looks like there, which for some buyers is exactly the point.
- Where does the data come from and how fresh is it?
- Places come from the OpenStreetMap Thailand dataset and driving times from a routing engine we run over the same road network. We refresh the dataset regularly from the official extract.
- Can I compare several locations at once?
- Yes — up to four side by side. Check a spot, hit 'Add to comparison', repeat. The table breaks the score down category by category and marks which location leads on each. When two places both max out a category, which happens constantly in central Bangkok, the shorter distance wins the row and is tagged 'closer'. The address bar keeps the comparison, so the link opens the same table for anyone you send it to.
- Can I trust the score on a listing page?
- Each listing's score is computed from its own map pin with the same formula as this page. Listings without an exact pin show an approximate score measured from the centre of their subdistrict, and are labelled as such.
